An integrated approach to build a equitable and empowered society

Mission & Vision

OUR VISION

We envision an egalitarian society where individuals with disabilities, whether men, women or children, have equal access to all rights and opportunities and live their lives with dignity.

OUR MISSION

To help disabled people by imparting special education, establishing centers for skill development and training, and providing speech, physio and occupational therapeutic centres for the all round development of the PWDs.

Our Programs

Training and Skill development for PwDs

Skill development training could be the best resort of turning the inner potentialities into formal workforces of the Persons with Disabilities (PwDs). Deploying the PwDs in the skill development training and building competency could enhance their productivity significantly which in some extent exceeds even persons with non-disabilities. The objective of training and skill development for PwDs is to provide skill training to PwDs for enabling them to become self-reliant and productive members of the society in order to achieve gainful wage/self-employment and to integrate them with the mainstream of the society.

Education

Historically, children with disabilities have been excluded from the general education system and placed in ‘special schools’. In some cases, they are separated from their families and placed in long-term residential institutions where they are educated in isolation from the community, if they are educated at all. The Constitution secures to the citizens including the disabled, a right of justice, liberty of thought, expression, belief, faith and worship, equality of status and of opportunity and for the promotion of fraternity. Inclusive education helps special-needs students understand the real world. It helps them become aware of those with unique physical and social skills and appreciate the diversity.
